Earl P. Hoehn 70 of Oswego IL passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018 at Rush Copley Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Earl retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 36 ½ years. Always full of energy, he then went on to get a part-time job at Carson Pirie Scott. Earl served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968. He was stationed in Munich Germany and was honorably discharged with the rank of E5.
He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and he was a member of the Meter Stamp Society. He loved volunteering at the Paramount Theater and Rivers Edge Park in Aurora, IL. Earl loved all holidays but most of all he loved St. Patrick’s Day.
He is survived by his wife Pamela (nee Logue) Hoehn of Oswego, IL, Daughter Alexandra (Jürgen) Bolloch, Grandchildren Julian Bolloch and Anna Bolloch all of Aura, Germany, Brother David (Linda) Hoehn of North Aurora, IL, Sister Betty Rogers of Aurora, IL, Sister Bonnie Hoehn and Vicky Rhodes, of Aurora, IL, Brother Dale (Jenny) Hoehn of Benson, Minnesota, Aunt and Godmother Shirley Hoehn of North Aurora, IL, Uncle, Art (Janet) Hoehn of Pana, IL, Godchildren Courtney Purtell of Aurora, IL and Dakota Purtell of Elmhurst, IL, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Paul Hoehn and Harriett Hoehn Johnson, one brother Paul Hoehn Jr., Uncle and Godfather Joseph Hoehn, and two cats Mr. Grey and Mr. Socks.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday March 17, 2018 (St. Patrick’s Day) at the Copley Theater in the North Island Center building in Aurora, IL starting at 1 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations of your choice can be made.
